Funeral ceremonies for people we love

Funerals with heart and soul

Katie Roberts Cariad Celebrant

Hi, I am Katie Roberts of Cariad Funeral Ceremonies. I am an independent funeral celebrant based in Cwmbran and I believe passionately that every funeral should celebrate the life and personality of the person who has died, honour their death as well as acknowledge the loss felt by those who are left behind.  I work to the ‘Funeral Celebrant Accord’ and all my services are fully inclusive and accessible.

A funeral marks a significant event

The crossing of a threshold, the end of a unique life, the loss of someone you love. How do you capture the essence of that person while at the same time acknowledging the loss felt by everyone who knew and loved them…?

Now imagine…

Imagine an event which captures the beliefs, values and unique personality of your loved one; which acknowledges their passing as a rite of passage; which enables the community of people who knew and loved the person who has died to come together to say their goodbyes and acknowledge and support each other in their grief.

Truly meaningful

Imagine being able to do all of this in a way that is truly meaningful to you and to the person who has died. Imagine looking back and thinking ‘he (or she) would have loved it’.

This is a funeral with heart and soul and these are the elements that make up a truly meaningful funeral

Services I provide

heart-hands

All my ceremonies are accessible, inclusive and person-centred. I work closely with each family to find the right words and music to create a unique and personal ceremony which will celebrate the life of your loved one and allow you to say your last goodbyes in the way that feels just right for you.

I can also support you in designing and holding community based ceremonies at venues that are meaningful, such as a rugby club, a golf club, a community hall or even a pub. (subject to the consent of the venue owner and subject to Covid regulations.)
